Ullo all, i've noticed that my car has started to misfire a quiet a bit on idle whether warm or cold! A quick check with vag com shows that it's on all the cyclinders! However it's not bad enough to bring up a misfire fault! There was an error the intake manifold runners i'll post the log when i've got it to hand! Could the fault be causing the misfires? It was an open or short to plus irrc and an upper limit exceeded something about tumble flap motors i remember reading when i looked it up on the ross tech wiki i think!

OR could all the coil packs/plugs have had it in one foul swoop!

Cheers all!

PS: Cars running revo s1!

The tumble flaps are a common fault and could be your cause , missifires you get on vag are misleading , all 2.0t engines missfire if you log it on vag com , so dont be too worried about that.
The coil packs are a weak feature on the car , i have had 1 replaced so far , have a search mate on here for tumble flaps and see what comes up.

Cheers for the input guys! Robdf2 i did search mate but nothing mentioned misfires. DanGB would the motor failure be causing the misfires? It feels like a muscle car idleing ala fast and furious when they race the rednecks for their muscle cars and he revs the tits off it! Shakes the car!!!! lol!

Nope, i didn't dave.c. Do you think i need to?

I deleted the dtc, did the tumble flap motor basic setting and all seems to be well atm, idle seems a lot better altho i can still feel the odd 'jump' (maybe just normal for these engines?)!

well im wondering if its just a basic problem? remap? standard plugs...maybe a set of NGK plugs would solve your issue? im only thinking the basics aleast what you posted first.

I had the trialrevo map on my TFSI...if i had the map i would change the plugs straight away but thats my preference hope it helps
