MAF Alternative.

Good afternoon.

Looks like I have another faulty MAF, I had one replaced about 18 months ago under the exchange scheme that SEAT were running.

The SEAT part number is 071904641A. I have heard that there is an alternative Merc part which is cheaper and better?

Could anyone confirm this for me.

there have been peeps running merc mafs yes, but i seriously think your better staying with OEM.....thats what the car was designed to run with.

its only around 80 quid for an exchange Seat one anyway

Changed it for the OEM Bosch part in the end, it wasn't a faulty MAF in the end anyway.

Car is driving like a tractor, constant misfire now, rather than intermittent as before. So far changed (as recommended by my local friendly SEAT dealer):-

maf
plugs
air filter
ht leads

Going to an independant on Wednesday, I'll keep you updated once they've taken a look.
