Hi all, i posted on here about a wk ago about my car hittin limp mode since its been re maped. Well ive changed the MAF but it still went into limp mode this morning.
Now my limp mode only happens first thing in the mornin when i start my car for the first time, if i stop and re start its back to normal and then its fine for the rest of the day, it just seems to be that first start when its been sittin for 5 or 6 hrs!
Does anyone have any other ideas as im fast runnin out of them now!!!

Thanks again Rob.

hi there, it could be a similar problem to mine... ever since the weather has gotten colder my car seems to be running as if the car is off the turbo, i asked on here and got a reply that if it gets below 2degC the car goes into safety mode. it seems that my car does it when it goes below about 3 or 4degC, again like you if i turn the car off then on again it runs as normal. this could be totally different but it sounds similar, i think it might say something in the handbook about it. could be totally wrong here tho

This will be my second year in the cold with a remap and I have not (touch wood) come across this problem with mine. I might be lucky but would find it hard to believe SEAT would release a car if it went into limp mode when cold.

Hope you get it sorted mate sounds like a right weird one. Have you tried having the remap removed and seeing if it still plays up?

Over the past few weeks as the temp has dropped, mine has been doing eactly the same, "seems like its running off the turbo"??? However, after 1/2 mile or so and a little bit of right foot, it seems to run as normal.........

its quite common to fail. have you got vagcom or access to it? should show up as a fault.

just thinking that if its happening from cold perhaps its linked to temp.
