Need some help!

My folks went on hols over xmas, car loaded with suitcases and 3 adults. All the way to Gatwick from South Wales the car (01 Leon 1.9tdi 110) would not pull an any hills , dad said that when the throttle was 3/4 down car was going fine, then on hill push foot to the floor and nothing, usually car crawled up the hill 50-60 mph .

On the way back dad said he cruised all the way at 80-90mph all the way with no problems ?

Any ideas what caused this, I'm thinking MAF ?

Standard answer, get vagcom on it.

so when it was laden with suitcases and people it struggled.
when empty on the way back it was ok?

well it could be simply loads of weight... but being a diesel it should be ok.
perhaps the ecu was being protective

really need vag com to get some answers.

No, the car had same amount in it on the way back! )probably more with duty free

Westec's just down the road from my folks, might suggest he take's it down there, they probably got vag com!
