Yes I bought the H3's and when I went to change them found that the fogs contained the HB4's

I'll be buying a set of HB4's at some point just a shame that there doesn't seem much choice in this fitting and no Nightbreakers or Philips Xtreme

For the amount of time the fogs are in use these should be fine for me

The best colour for fogs is actually yellow.
Bright white will reflect back off the mist/fog.

I have a pair of Osram Super All Season in the fogs. They have a slight yellow tint to them.

I've bought these Ring Xenon Max 100% HB4's and fitted them today

I know the logic behind yellow fog lights but the facelift model has "Turning Lights" as a feature so the fog lights are actually used quite a bit

Anyway they look good and I've matched them with the Ring Xenon Max 100% H1 & H7 bulbs.

how do the turning fogs work, i enabled this on my 2008 FR TDi but disabled them again as i thought they may be illegal as your not meant to have the fog lights on unless its foggy.

have the facelift fogs got different reflectors in or something like that

To be honest i'm not sure if they are illegal as I've seen a few Mercedes with the same feature.

Basically when you are turning at low speed or indicating to turn the fog light that is on the side you are turning towards will light up to provide a little extra light and when you have finished turning it goes out.

The fog light unit is completely different and uses a different type of bulb HB4's instead of the H3's (User manual states H3 and only found out they were different when I went to change the bulbs a while ago)

Still got the H3 Nightbreakers if anyone wants them

I got them very cheap off Ebay and as they are no use to me whatsoever if they will fit your car you can have them for nothing
