I must admit it's a far more attractive option.

The only thing I would do different here (apart from try to find an equal length mani) is have my own DP altered so it had the 'bend' as above.

I wonder if I could get a Quattro Eliminator turbine housing from ATP to swap for my housing

Hang on, how does this make the inlet much easier if it, by the looks of it, shifts it further to the passenger side of the car?

Or does the fact the k04 manifold point 'upwards' help.

I've read that the k04 mani is better flowing than the k03.

I'd agree, it's got to be a winner.

Just a couple of things that pop in my head after reading the last few posts - the S3/TT225/LCR all use the same exhaust manifold.

It can't be hard to use a K04-2X downpipe, or downpipe and cat or even full system - it's going to line up with the K03 exhaust somewhere. Unless you're just trying to avoid changing it.

I know ChrisS3 has a ko4 eliminator on his S3, fitted by Star - 330bhp (IIRC). He was interested in the JBS Equal length manifold, which released a good few extra poinies on Sie's Imolavirus hybrid K04, so might be good on a GTRS.

Issue with turbo outlet and piping? I think Rob's already sorted that one though? Not sure about Dave, I can't remember what you did in the end?

As for logs, it's going to be similar to a full GT28RS (depending on trim), in fact...

For an ibiza which doesnt come with a k04 in any variant its gotta be the pro imports pipe.

Add a decent k04 mani and thats gotta see some nice gains along with being able to run a sweet inlet.

Dave, i bet your pissed at this now.

Well, my plan now is to go for the quattro GTRS on the quattro manifold, adapter pipe to my existing 3" DP and 100-cell CAT and 3" inlet, which due to the quattro mani will sit above all the gear linkages by 1-2 inches (So Jim @ Star tells me). Even if the PI adapter pipe doesn't quite fit for some reason, it's a simple piece so I can get Meercat to make one up quite easily (Meercat make custom manifolds, exhausts, etc. and have made stuff for Keith Cowie, etc.. I'm going to have the mani and adapter ceramic coated before fitting too.

Sorry Dave!!!

I'll post up pics of the quattro manifold next to my old stock manifold, big difference in them and the turbo does indeed sit higher.

I cant see it hitting the engine mount, if all it is a 90degree bend, basically if the link pipe was to hit the engine mount the standard downpipe would hit also.

Standard downpipe bolts to the turbo at around cylinder 1 and 2, so it would be ok. remember the exhaust housing is offeset on a k03.

you have a point phil but ive seen how close a k04 is to the rear mount on an ibiza!
the DP in that pic of mine was about 1-2mm from the engine mount.

what you have to remember is not all 1.8t engine cars have the engine in the same place of the engine bay!

I understand what your saying. Now the downpipe stays in the same position and the pipe just makes the link, the deciding factor will be if the top of the standard downpipe, the flange, is clear and above the engine mount then there wont be any fitment issues.

If I can afford it I'll get the ceramic-coated Piper LCR downpipe and CAT, failing that Meercat will make something up for me. I'm going to get one of the adapter pipes though and try it, got to be worth finding out if it mates up, if it does then it will save a load of money.
