Dear All
I am surprised and disappointed that this is your opinion of our work.
This car came to us on a Saturday to check hesitation
problem. We had mapped the car earlier in the year and mentioned the questionable quality of the FMIC fitted.
The car was rebooked in as the
problem was recurring. The car had been decatted and a different intercooler fitted since it was last here.
The hesitation was now very noticeable but the vehicle had faults that needed sorting before we could look at that.
The car had a leak from the N75 valve (we replaced tie wrap with jubilee clip) and also the lambda sensor was missing after the car had been decatted (we ordered a new lambda sensor and fitted)
I then logged the car again and remapped accordingly. The car drove well and I got you to drive the car to confirm that you were happy. We only charged for a new lambda probe.
You subsequently posted on the forum that you were happy with the results.
You have now, for unknown reasons, got another tuner to read our remap from your car. You didn’t have any problems so why do that?
I won’t go into the details of how we, and most other tuners remap 1.8t engines, but the mapping on these is based on lambda control. That is all I will say as its not my job to educate people on
how to tune cars but I can assure you we weren’t “riskin killin me engine iff the knock or egt sensor went to protect”. We have plenty of customers who are happy with their results and have not had any engine problems.
Is this the same for the others out there?
Be careful of being used as a marketing tool.
