Hi I have recently purchased a 2016 fr184 estate and for some reason,still has a mib1 fitted,every other 2016 car I’ve seen for sale on auto trader etc has a mib2 fitted,anyone came across this before?or is it just a case of car was built earlier and not registered till 2016?

The 10th character on your Chassis No (ie VIN - vehicle identification number) will indicate the year of manufacture, regardless of date of 1st registration:

There are different types of MIB 2 unit, and from memory were phased in from 2014 across the VAG cars. Might be worth putting up a photo and/or confirming using details in post #3 below:

Hi all, I own a 2015 Seat Leon Cupra 280 and my sat nav sd card is now 6 years old, I'm looking to buy a more recent one (2020/2021 ideally) and I've found one on ebay which says it fits Leon nav systems aged 2015-2018, but it also says it only works on MIB2 standard units and not on MIB Gen 1...
