and what sort of problems have you encountered along the way?

still torn between the trusty 1.8 t in the mk4 and the 1.4 tsi (engine of the year ) in the 5

servicing costs too please?

Two clutches

my dealer said clutch plates are not listed as seperate part, have to buy whole box for 3K+

Oh dear god
Then again in theory they shouldn't be able to trash clutches like you can in a manual? You would of thought it will of been tuned to make them last as long as possible?

try switching off the traction control, a yellow light will flash constantly, then select sport and floor the throttle- the wheels will spin, then as it changes to 2nd gear, the clutch will slip - did it on mine BEFORE the remap. I've never switched T/C off since.

when I first got car, had to work out how to 'launch' it from the line, not a manual so can't dump the clutch, not a real auto, so can't wind up the torque converter. thought I would try switching off T/C. will never do it again!!!!!!!!!!! (that was before remap, if i did it now - BOOM)

So you hit 60 in 4.9 with the traction on???
I'm thinking if it will do that then there's no point in turning it off lol

It bog down alot in corners?
