mk 5 Seat Ibiza FR 2.0L TDI Knocking on the front end suspecting shocker

hi i am new on as not long had my seat long. but i seems to have developed a very anoying knock and hissing noise from the front nearside when i go over any bumps or anything like that . i suspect the shocker absorber has gone because i have heard these are common for going and seen as i have had to change one on a 4 year old polo. just wondering if anyone has had this before ? just to mention i have replaced the antiroll bar like and bottom ball joint on the same side.

i had a rear shock fail on mine but that was obvious cos it pissed oil everywhere.

The previous model Ibiza and Fabia were known for wishbone bush (aka console bush) failures after as little as 40K miles. Not sure if this model is as affected.

I'd check these out too.
