Pulled the OE Aura cassette unit out of my Mk1 LCR yesterday, prior to attempting to make the double din dash mod to fit a Kenwood DDX6029, only I noticed that the Kenwood has RCA connections for the speakers, whereas the OE unit does not. I can't find what I need so is anyone able to give me any advice?

Cheers

did you get a small wiring loom for the kenwood hu as this will have the speaker cables on and they should have 2 iso blocks on the end maybe one brown and one black rca cables are only for amplifier add ons also if its an av head unit you will have rca cables for other peripherals like reverse cam and rear screens etc

Not opened the pack yet, just saw big connectors on it, no small ones. Where do the speakers connect on that pic above then? All the wires off to the right are speakers/AV, the big one from the right is the Sat-Nav, the 5L I/F one is for the changer and the connector at the bottom is for a TV tuner. That just leaves the "power" block on the right. Is that all I need to connect?

The loom for the power block will have two ISO plugs on it, one is for power the other for speakers.

Do yourself a favour though and do the double din properly. You just need the centre dash section and trim panel from a Leon with SAT NAV. I did it on mine years ago and it worked a treat.

That's exactly what I'm doing, thanks.

Thanks for the info on the ISO too, much appreciated. Will hopefully give it another go this week

Finally installed this last night. Turns out that the previous owner had, rather than get an ISO adapter to whatever model car he had, he just snipped the wires and connected them direct, so there's no ISO block on the end of the Kenwood loom. So we wired one up ourselves and got it fitted using the "Power" connector on the back of the unit. Took some time but the double din mod is in and I'm happy with it. Still need to install the ancillaries like the Bluetooth and GPS modules, but it's working well for now.

Thanks for the help guys
