Hi All,

Has anyone here taken the dash out on a Mk2 Leon? How much effort is involved?

We have a bubble under the surface on the top of our dash and I think the best way to deal with it is to replace the dash. I know the dash is a large single piece but is it difficult to remove?

Cheers!

It's not too difficult.
There are good guides in the FAQ section like
http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/showthread.php?t=139255

One thing to look out for is the air con unit.
There are 2 screws underneath the unit, not highlighted in the FAQ pictures.
After the radio is taken out you will be able to access/see 2 screws under the Air Con unit.
These screws also need to be taken out.

screws underneath Air Con Unit mentioned in this guide

As above, nearly broke the dash because I didn't know about those screws. Also the vents will fall out, and there a right pain to put the back correctly.

Here's mine now in black.

Do you have a pic of the damage? Which part of the dash is it?

Thanks for all the responses, please see below for images the bubble on top of the dash. (assuming they upload properly because they wouldn't display on post preview)

I have tried chips away but they do not have anyone in our area who does interior repairs :(

Thanks again all!

Buzz...can't reach you on PM...you're inbox is full :)

I've been wanting to do this to my dash for almost a year now..

Do you have a step-by-step (moreso the order and where the screws/clips are) for the removal of all "wrappable" dash components? I'm sick of that dull grey.
