Need urgent help as it's starting to really annoy me :(

I have purchased a jvc double din head unit and it's all wired up working fine. However as you can see from the picture attached,

I have purchased the double din fascia for the leon, however the trim part that surrounds the actual head unit within the main fascia does not fit, and whenever I accelerate the head unit pops out.

Can someone please help me with the parts that I need to make everything fit? A new fascia? A stereo surround plate for within the fascia? Clips? :(

Those fascia adaptors are crap mate. I bought them because they were cheaper and ended up spending double because I threw it out and got the propper one. You want to get in touch with sere motors on here and he will sort you out

Have a look at the list of components I list with my video, they came from the FAQ

In the video I wave around the junk one like yours I bought and threw away, the snag is that you get told a lot of plausible but wrong things about fitting car HiFi I find.

I actually had one of those in my car and works well. You have mount the cage to the facia. what I did was I took a couple of self tappers to the sides of the facia, to hold the facia in place. then take the cage and clip it in place with the securing tabs, your head unit now should slide in and lock into place. then just put the trim on to finish.

Rocky I've spoken to dave at sere and he wasnt too sure about what I needed so he told me to start a thread. Could you list the parts he gave you?

The only components you really list pm the video are the mk5 golf adaptor and a 'genuine seat fascia'. Did you purchase the sat nav fascia that I keep hearing about? Or was it the double din fascia? Do you have any part numbers in emails or anything buddy?

I am not somewhere with a decent internet connection right now but I listed everything I used .
As examples although I paid less

The Seat fascia is the thing you can see in the finished video linked to from the previous one, that was ordered from a Seat dealer simply by pointing out on their microfiche parts viewer what I needed and supplying the VIN no. It took months to arrive though.
