I'd never plan to "drive by the lights" - do the smart thing and check the under bonnet fluids on a regular basis.
My 2011 Audi B8 S4 didn't come with a dip stick, I sorted that out very quickly!

Just nice to know if it did prewarn me
My old cupra drank oil which i suspect was the turbo seals after i fitted a decat pipe and our driveway is not level so makes it annoying to drive somewhere flat to do my fluid checks
Before i used to do it at the weekly shop but i always looked like my car had problems lol

We can only go on our own experiences i suppose , i do check where i can but its a nice back up feauture if a long journey was to occur , i could do a litre of oil in less than 200mile if i was hard on the car so if i was on a long journey i could quite easily run it to a dangerous level even though id check/top up my turbo seals where that bad, just wierd how every other vag brand has this warning except for seatWell my mate has 2018 T-Roc or Troc 1.5TSI and its low oil warning came on the other day, which annoyed his slightly as he had checked the oil when he washed the car the day before, and now the oil level was still okay, so these monitoring systems can throw out error warnings which the dip stick will not.
