mk2 toledo flashing lights

Have a 2002 toledo tdi today has developed a fault nearly all the dash lights have started flashing with ignition off and even with it locked still starts and drives fine all levels fine.

Really worried about it so anyone got an idea

Well searching online and it seems the most likely culprit is the dash pod so i rekon thats gonna be expensive does anyone know if they have to be coded to the car

well flashing lights seem to have stopped after a bit of a rest for the car but now the car does not want to start unless you run a live wire from the battery to the fuel pump anyone got any ideas for this one?

Might be a short behind the dash? I had the disco lights when I had a water leak through the auxiliary fuse box cover and it completely flattened the battery in about 8 hours. Once i'd dried it out, sealed the leak and recharged the battery all was good. Good luck!
