mk2 v mk3 big difference???

hi, ive just bought a 2012 leon, obviously the face lift is a difference between the mk2 models, but my question is that, i would like to know if there are any other changes or differences between them. For example if i were to buy alloy wheels, are the wheel fitaments the same as the older mk2?
Also i intend to buy the btcc kit for the car so does the twin exhaust for the older mk2 leon fit the facelift model? maybe im stupid asking these questions but i hope some intelligent person can help me out? thanks

The Mk3 Leon isn't available yet. The 2012 model is still the Mk2.

Both cars are the same under the skin. Main differences are dash board, nose and tail of the car - and the new one has huuuuuuuuuuuuge mirrors.

The body kit will be different between your car and a pre 2009 Leon but exhaust should be the same.Depending which model you have, you should consider FR/Cupra bumpers and skirts/spoiler combo and fit the Cupra R rear apron and the Cupra R exhaust

sounds nice, its just that i can pick up a brand new twin outlet exhaust that fits the pre 2009 model for reasonable money so wanted to ask before i purchased,

the rear valance is the same AFAIK but the bumper is different where the lights cut into it due to the lights being a slightly different shape.

front bumper, grill and possibly the lights are different on the new shape too.
