The adhesive has failed and they need to be resprayed as the paint quality is poor (fish eyes, clear coat peeling) - I guess it either comes down to cost/time efficiencies or risk of damage when removed.

The new blades are primed, so I guess it may be more cost effective to supply new rather than remove, prepare and respray the old ones.

Yes it probably is. I'm thinking of getting some for my 2016 car but SEAT say these blades won't fit as they are for 2017 on

I've received the blades, and had them painted. They have adhesive tape, but, I've got tiger seal to use as well. Also came with screws but I dont want to drill the sills

Just drill the sills, will not be an issue in your ownership. Seat and Audi drill sills
