This is my Cupra 290 running stage 2 should have 400BHP and 500NM of torque but need to get it on a dyno.
I dont have many good pics of my car but will get some soon.

I'm running stage 1 with few minor mods at 350bhp it's fast how can you even drive it with over 500 are you not just constantly doing burnouts between gears? My wheels spin like mad if I don't carefully give it gas? 🙈

Did you uprate your clutch for a stage 1 or you got a dsg?

Thanks. I was thinking of a stage 1 this year but don’t really want to spend big money as yet, the car only had a new clutch last Dec on warranty so I don’t want to kill it to be honest, im also going to renew the warranty as well and a stange 1 plus any parts changed would’nt be covered by it.

These engines can produce so much torque they just kill anything not up to the task.

Crazy the torque they can put out... Im intrested to see how purple cupra can keep it going with over 500 hp I don't know if I would advise you to bother with remap like I said in my earlier comments wheels pin is a serious problem I've got ps4 s with around 7mm thread and they might aswell be budget tyres as far as I can see nothing will grip with so much torque very hard to get good standing start don't get me wrong if you control the throttle perfectly it's up to 150 km really fast but if it gets to much gas even with traction control off it still kicks in then all you get is splutters from the exhaust chuggs from the wheels and not so much speed... From rolling its alot different again once you get the throttle control right up over 200kmph seriously fast... As regards to problems with so much torque with these upgrades I've about 25k km done with no issues... 👍

You got a fwd i take it? The dsg seems to be able to take an abnormal amount of extra torque and extra bhp (seems its grossly overspecced) which definitely makes gojng stage 1-2 easier for people with the dsg.

Yep it's fwd manual it must be the dsg that makes the difference I went manual as people told me dsg can be quite dangerous going into bends on high revs tends to pop next gear when you don't want it to and loses traction for that split second people made me nervous but reading on here it seems dsg is the way to go... 🙃

That is a lot of power! That must have been more than a Stage 1 tune........
I guess it will be a handful to drive with only the front wheels driven......
Are all internals still OEM?

I've had my Cupra R ST (4Drive) tuned almost a year ago, with a Stage 1+ tune at TVS Engineering. I'm still very happy with the result:
397 PK (391 HP) and 528 Nm (389,5 lbft).
A review of that tune can be found here.
