What's Happening? I'm New to this. I've just purchased my first Seat Leon Cupra (180).

I'm curious as to what modifications should I do prior to having a stage 1 remap done?

I'm just want some more power I'm not into loads of boy racer stuff. Just subtle things.

No loud exhausts, standard is fine.

Thanks

Roy

From what i have seen on the forum so far is that for a stage 1 you can do it completely standard and get a increase in power from the standard 180bhp to max i think of 220bhp !! im going to be remapping mine soon as standard with nothing done and then more for the stage 2 !

Let me know how you get on with yours and how much gains it's gives.

I've read that you need to upgrade the Turbo Intake Pipe, and maybe something about a dump valve.

The hose kits seem quite expensive.

The car I just bought is completely standard so that's a good basis for doing anything to it.

I don't want to put a cone filter on so I just got a K&N panel filter.

I found it feels really low despite it's not been lowered and the drive is very stiff and bumpy.

Will do but wont be doing the remap for a while as saving up for it only got the car last week and mines not to bad actually really good on handling and powers nice and there when i put my foot down ! Im just looking round for a good set up atm mainly induction and probs do an intercooler and boost pipes upgrade once i got the cash !

you would of wanted to put the green cotton filter on there 1st pal,the oil that lies on the filter 'apparently' messes up the maf, along with that I would put a a3 audi strut brace and that makes the car corner even better, its night and day tbh.i have theses little mods as well but im looking into selling the 180 for a 225 if I cant get rid ill be doing as much as I can on the 180 im not to pushed on itf it don't sell, just see how it goes ,stage 2 possibly, just fitted a new ko3s turbo on it as well, and if I knew at the time I would of tarted up the ko3s.......but pulls really well, cant fault the car tbh, like I said if it doesn't sell ill keep it:)
oh yeh and a cobra exhaust as well, id have a good guess the std one on the car is rusted on the rear silencer if not it will be soon,oh yeh and a side mount of front mount all depends on how much power you want

Nothing needed for stage 1 fella ;)

Great. What price roughly does the stage 1 cost? Also from this would it achieve at least 210BHP?

Is it well worth doing?

How would the fuel economy be after, better or worse?

Finally, are more things prone to go worng with the the car due to the power increase?
Loads of questions

I had mine remapped on friday and it's running 215bhp now from stage 1 with a pipper cross panel filter very happy with the increase in torque and performance .

That sounds like some good gains. Is it quite a big difference after in terms of do you really feel it?

Yh you can feel the difference I ha a flat spot in 1st and 2nd gear there now gone and the torque increase is good when going up a hill !! Was driving along the motorway in 6th when I saw a modded LCR on the outside lane ! Put me foot down in sixth and she pulled like a train to catch up and kept with him for abit !
