Right folks, i really need some help! about a month ago i bought a flip key from ebay, its a vw one part no hlo 1j0 959 753 n.

ive had the blade cut and swapped the imobiliser chip. so the key unlocks the car manually fine and starts it. but my remote locking will not work!

ive tried just about every coding methosd i can find, am i doing something wrong or have i got an uncompatable key? my car is a 2000 "W" plate leon 1m 1.6s.

if anyone can help at all id really appreciate it, because my central locking always worked before, and i miss the creature comforts! lol

Firstly, check the battery. Second, make sure the red light flashes on the key when you press the buttons. Do you know if they remote worked on the previous car? Have you had quite a few different remotes coded to your car? There's a limit to the amount that can be linked.

I thought there was a coding guide in the handbook? Or try and befriend a dealer and ask for it from them.

I am also in the same boat - make sure battery is right way up (flat side down from memory) - if light comes on like mine but still does not open car after programming then I believe it is a vag com job or dealers

I have got them to order remote part of key in case my remote key is faulty - hopefully they can programme either my exisiting key or the new one as I have done everything I can think of!
