I removed mine, no error codes.

N249 + n112 on the other hand...,

Limp mode, running like ****. So pulled the solenoid a off the n249 res etc and plugged them back into the harness and cable tied them out of the way,

Runs spot on now, full boost, no issues, no eml, no resistors needed.

Am I right in thinking the EML will come on with the SAI removed and there's no way of removing the fault code for it?

I've fitted 330Ohm 10v resistors in place; no faults so far, doesn't really bother me as I'm going to get them mapped out

Never experienced limp mode on my car, and i've removed more than what most mk4 owners have attempted, runs spot on, boosts well; but mind you this ain't my first 1.8T or PCV removal, my car runs bang on. [B)]

I'm sure I read somewhere about SAI removal bringing up an error code that couldn't be deleted. Maybe I'm wrong then

Yes it will bring up an error code if a resistor is not fitted, or simpler still you can get them mapped out.
