I did some work on the Ibiza this weekend past, changed the top strut mounts but saw that the drivers side mount can move up and down when the car is totally jacked up off the ground. any thoughts on this perhaps?

also changed the spark plugs and dist- cap and rotor and boy what a diffs this made, now it revs clear to 7.5k rpm.

also changed all the mountings on the engine.

glad ur car running better wish mine revd up to 7.5 lol mine goes to 6250 and hit redline one got a 1.6 8v like.. try a petrol treatment in the car b4 test and get car really hot before you take it in and that sud help the car with emissions.as when reved up the car runs hotter and cleaner..
i work in a garage and i get a proper mot on my car and with not cat and kent cam my car was not miles out for the emissions so it is likely ur just needed a gd service and a treatment..
you could always ask the mot tester to see if the car wud pass the emissions b4 he does the test again and if not then u know it needs more work

I took it to a different MOT station, they passed it on all the stuff the other station failed it, but now got new stuff, Lower suspension ball joint, and brake balancing. wtf?
