Mouse in gearbox

Ok not quite but whenever ive got weight in the car eg yesterday i had 2 boxes of vinyl in the boot and someone in passenger seat, my car constantly squeaks!
kind of comes from gearbox/centre console area, anyone else get this or know how to get rid of it ( except for the obvious dont carry anything!)

My car is lowered on coilovers (Quiet low) and when i have extra people in the car it squeaks, something from underneath.

i ripped that bar out, does nothing and it solved the problem!

surely it must have a purpose?!
are there screws holding it in?
