So I’ve owned my 280 for over 2 years now. So I thought it would be a good time to do a write up on my build.

I picked up the car in August 2018 from a main dealer in Cardiff.
Its a Leon Cupra in Dynamic Grey, a late 2015 car. Really pleased with the car. It’s was fitted with black edition extra's, It came leather seat, panoramic sunroof and Seat Sound.

OCT 18 First upgrade was the front tyres. They had ditch finder compusal tyres (never heard of them) on the front. A high performance vehicle needs good tyres. a bit of research and the Michelin PS4S were fitteded

Next upgrade was the Revo Torque mount (dogbone mount). This was singularly the best bang for buck mod made.

Quite simple to install as well.

In February 19 I bought a Racingline R600 induction kit, silicon hose, elbow and muffler delete.

It sat in a box till May 19 before I finally fit it.

Can see inlet to turbo.

Pipe work attached. Muffler delete placed. That was hard.

Air box fitted with hose.

Got to say you can actually hear the turbo spool up. And I believe you can here the dump valve too.

Still kinda quiet - but a small improvement to induction.

I think it’s time for a remap.

Question is : which one??

So I looked at all the options and Paddy convinced me to go Racingline OEM+

So I made a trip to VAG Manchester and had the the map put on.

I was expecting a slight difference. Oh I was in for a shock. It’s night and day the difference.

Let’s cue on to 2020, current day. Nothing major has been done. The best was a full service, DSG and diff service done just as lockdown kicked in.

Had my braided hoses fitted too.

But I’ve obtained a few bits to get fitted.
Strutbrace for the front
Eibach pro kit springs
Superpro front LCA arms
Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.3 wheels 18” with Yokohama Advan tyres

These need to go on soon, before my track day at Brands Hatch. Got my crash helmet too. Sparco X1.

If I am going to do track days regularly - then a BBK

So I have obtained some Audi RS3/TTRS 4 pot Brembo Caliper. Just sent them off to get them refurbished. The expensive part is the discs. They come in at a whopping £745...

So

In October I attended a track day and had loads of fun. All the brake and suspension mods came into play. Car ran like a dream, and the brakes were able to handle 8-9 laps before the dreaded fade.
