yeah i really like the 1.8 i had the tdi cupra but it wasn't for me. when i had my 20vt fr i had a straight through pipe from the cat and a powerflow back box that sounded rather nice. was just curious about one of these mufflerectomy cause when i took out my centre box on my old fr the turbo felt like is spooled up quicker.

the turbo definatly spools up quicker with my system! it sounds tastfully deeper on idle rather than the standard exhaust and when the engine is under load at low revs it sounds deep not 1 tone boy racer it sounds sporty and not silly load it burbles and pops when your giving it some beans and sounds realy sporty and agressive when really booting it and still with the oval standard look out the back.

just removing rear silencer on the petrol will be very load and won't pass MOT plus something to do with emissions, or so i have been told by the local MOT place. but i not sure any emissions problems will occur TBH:shrug:. muflerectomy on really works on the dervs i believe, they sound great at about 2-3k rpm but very loud when at higher revs (about 4.5k rpm) and cos your power is only coming in then on the petrol i think you might find it a bit too much(chavy) IMHO

the miltek performs and sounds lush burbls backfires and pops when i want it to! and behaves when i want it to

well i have had it done today turbo spools up a lot quicker. as for the noise it is alot quieter that you might think. it is quiet when cruzing along gets a bit louder when you accelerate untill the turbo comes in then it gets quiet again.

yeah i like a little noise but not to much. sound nice though. if it get to much though i will just add a rear box

no mate it sounds different to that when it is boosting it makes a different sound though. it sounds similar to an evo fq340, more like rushing air at high pressure if that makes sense?

yep my mini sounds like the rushing air, almost like a jet.

Mufflerectomy will sound **** on a Petrol , and will be a little illegal, you will be pulled all the time. Best off with a non-resonated turbo back Milltek system.
