mvg towbar

hi i had a hole cut out of the back of my lc bumper when i bought it is has a plastic cover on and the guy i bought it off of said that at some point it had a towbar on it, after further investigation i see the towbar and electrics are still on the car but there is no towball. i have asked a local towbar fitter if i can get hold of the ball just incase seens as it there.
he never heard of the make and after googling it i cant find much on them either. the only thing i have possibly found are a few links saying they come from seat.
does anyone have one of these towbars or know if i can get a ball anywhere for it???
its a detachable and just says MVG on the plate on it

I wasnt aware lcr's or fr's (like i have) can have a towbar, but people fit a golf one.

Its a grey area, aparantly some fit, but because the data plate doesnt list towing weights, towbar manufacturers cant homogulate one.

you can as i have the bar and the electrics just cant find anywhere or any info on the maufacturer MVG

My V5 and also in the Leon Owner Manual thats comes with the car states its towing weights so a LCR and FR can have a towbar i guess

Hmmm, strange, may have to check mine, wud be easier than towing in the van

Curious if you ever found a towbar for this. I have the ball fitting, but the remainder of the system was left on an old vehicle which was written off.

I was just googling to see if this part I have is worth anything to anyone and came across your posting.

I'll check back in a couple of days to see if you pick this message up. It may be that the part I have isn't compatible with yours ??? But you never know....

I have just looked into this.

I have an FR150 TDi and my local tow bar man says he can get a kit for it.

Hi, the part number on the ball I have is MVG 2020-A-31.1 and the website for MVG can be found at mvg-ahk.de

You can check, maybe email them and see if the part I have is compatible with your vehicle and fitting.

There is an identical ball listed on Ebay.de listing number 360454875617....

Just in case you are nearby to me, I am based in Hornchurch, Essex.
