Yeah I remember when you had it done and I made sure I got that one and not the older one with the 2 pipes.

Yeah decat. I remember my old exhausts getting slightly louder as they carboned up a bit so maybe it will. I've only done about 30 miles in it so far and not really gave it a boot full yet but it doesn't seem to pop as I come down through the gears, is that pretty normal of a miltek?

I'm used to my massive dream science ST exhaust that would wake the dead.

Mine doesnt pop that much, when it does it's not that loud, I think it's all down to the design of the back box, I was going to cut it open and take some of the wadding out but I dont want to ruin it

Yeah I guess in a way it's good that a exhaust with so fewer restrictions can be so quiet.

I'm very glad I didn't get the resinated system as I doubt it sounds any different from standard.

All great cars, but welcome back to seat...how low did you go on the coilovers? Any scraping?

Cheers. It did rub on the plastic shields at the rear but not now I trimmed them. Not sure how low. I wound them all the way down then adjusted to where I wanted them.

pic from a meet I went to on Sunday.

Fitted 3" TIP today, because I already had a Samco Sport one fitted it only took about 15mins to swap them over. Haven't really had a chance to test it yet as it's raining hard and very slippery ... One thing I will say is it's made the induction noise and the recirc noise a hell of a lot louder.

Before

After

Not really much to look at I'm afraid! I will probably need to trim 5mm off the MAF end of the TIP as the jetex I have on order is larger then the K&N, will see when it gets here in a couple of weeks.

Comparison between the 2. The Samco is actually a really nice diameter compared to some of the silicon TIPs I have seen.

Looking good pal. Presune you're out of hospital now?
How would I work out, without taking my TIP off, if mine is a 3" or not?!

Cheers mate, thinking of changing the wheels to some no one has ever fitted before .. May have found some I just need to investigate a bit further.

Gave it a good drive today. I am amazed by the difference the 3" TIP makes, I've somehow managed to gain a extra 1psi boost on my peak recall gauge. I know it's not a lot but that and the extra air flow has defiantly made a difference. Very impressed! :D

I'm not going to say until I know for sure but I'm pretty certain they have never been fitted to a Cupra r before ... I'm not sure on costs yet either which is a major factor seeing as I've not long put 2 tyres on my standard wheels and they won't fit the possible new ones.

Sounds interesting mate. Look forward to seeing them, if they fit.

Finding the right wheel that looks right and that hasn't already been done is so hard, It took me over a year to decide on mine.
You could always sell the 2 new tyres on.

Good shout DK I may need two front tyres soon. Think drivers side has a slow puncture?!
