i've just bought the ebay CAI and are a bit worried about our weather here in norway, as its raining alot!?

i ran a CAI for over a year on my old cupra, had it sat behind the fog...it didnt pick up that much dirt in the position mine was in & the sounds were awesome..I was always worried about puddles though..and avoided them like the plague..will probably get another soon..whereabouts exactly do these ebay ones sit?

do you ue the air filter with it or recomend putting a jetex on it? what is the small silicone tube with it ?
right i not going down that route now then i will remove battery to boot and just extend like phile has ! is that what you have done ?
WAST of money that CAI, i just mounted my cai and where is the sound everybodys talking about? I lost all my boosting sound and DV sound:S
and as peachy says, i realy think its to dirty down there for a air filter to breathe :S im going to drive like this until i bother removing it :S wish i used my money on a tip instead

well there one benefit on not buying a tip i bet its easyer to fit, but i dont think any one can be disapointed with a forge tip it one of my best things i have done. Get one orderd it will cheer you up ! lol
well what i enjoy you can hear your turbo spool up it sounds awsome i love it and my forge split-r sounded alot better , people say your turbo spools up a bit quicker , every one that has one would recomend im sure. They can be a bit tricky to fit

i could hear mine realy loud from inside the car before as well =) but if it gets even louder its great!
but i even want to go for a hybrid conversion, so a tip is must!

but as you see i dont even have an fmic, or TB, and to for me to get an Fmic i need to buy and fit a cupra bumper, and for that to happen, i also would need a complete respray for the car, as there are many stripes and minor bumps .
so it gets expensive in the end
