New Update!!
Time for a little update on how things are going. Had a busy couple of weeks getting the Cupra ready for Friday 22nd March. When she is all booked in for her custom stage two map, get rid of the revo stage one with sps controller and get it mapped to its full potential with all the extra modifications that I have done over the passed couple of months.
To start with been waiting a couple of weeks for my TIP to turn up from creation motorsport as they had no stock. It arrived and straight on with the job of fitting and what a fun job that was!!
After a lot of bother the old pipe finally came out of its hiding place deep within the engine. Time to start putting the new TIP in!!
Then it was done!! Well worth the effort to be honest and one step closer to the best stage two I can get. For now anyway!!
One other item to address before remapping was the leaking 007p DV, Thanks to forge and their good will the sent me out a rebuild kit with new piston and seals for the modification of the valve to prevent leaking.
Many thanks to Forge for this another problem sorted out!!
Then on to give the Cupra a nice fresh service with the usual oil, oil filter and fuel fitler change. I also put some new plugs in as have no idea when they were last changed so stuck some in. Also noticed the front wishbone rear bushes were knakered so got some solid tt ones to replace them with. Also decided to remove the sump to check for any bits of plastic that may have fallen down when the dip stick guide tube broke. This turned out to be a great idea as was full of orange plastic!! That made me think time for an upgraded magnetic sump bung so can keep an eye on things when servicing!!
Once all the important items had been done on to the less important things but just little bits and bobs that make a difference like getting the rest and third attempt at some lights fitted.
Finally on to the wheels that I've been trying to get hold of which turned out to be harder then I expected due to the seeming rareness of the wheels I was set on getting. I had given up and was looking at other wheels then randomly searching ebay one night and a set appeared!!
May need some spacers for the front wheels though..
Wheels go off to my mate to give them a refurb and then ready for the tyres sat in my garage. All is going well at the moment! Will update after Friday when the stage two has been full implemented!! Cant wait!!
