Very nice car indeed! I love it in red it's my favourite colour.

Cheers mate! Red wasn't my first choice but I'm certainly happy with it!

Noticed today 2 of my door seals need sorting, Hopefully I'll get a dry day this weekend to sort them. Think I'll have a check of all four doors and do them all if they haven't been done previously. Joy of joys, the steamy windows are already here

Ahh that's a bummer :/ your not alone though I need to do mines also I can't be bothered though lol think it's messed up my airbag sensor though as the light is on :/ good times.

Ah that's not so good mate! Just one of those things with these cars. I drove the blue one for about a month with no carpet or other seats while drying to out!

im sorry I shouldn't laugh but just picturing that is hilarious! I hope I don't have to do that :0 il need to do them ASAP.

Hi mate lovely looking motor...coming along nicely. I'm after a red Lcr. Bored of my Lc! Any advice on what to look out for? Seen a few about but most looked tinkered with or thrashed!

Lovely car, have a bit of a soft spot for mk1s and its red, mmmm :)
Good choice on tyres too, I do a 180 mile a day commute which was chewing up the very soft toyos I had fitted, so I looked around at different tyre manufacturers, I didn't want too hard a compound cus I wanted the grip for weekend fun ;) tried the vreds and won't be trying anything else! Get more miles on them than the toyos, better mpg and grip as well in tight corners so I'm very happy with them!

Thanks mate! There's a buying guide in the mk1 section that is really good. It's what I followed when looking for mine. Don't rush into buying one as well, you're better off waiting for the right one.

Cheers mate! I can't fault the vreds, definitely will be sticking with them in the future!

Changed my spark plugs today, not sure when they were last done but they were certainly needed!

Also I made a cup holder insert for my armrest. Just a push fit so can be removed as and when.

Fitted a B5 V2.2 TIP and a Ramair cone filter. Very happy with it and the noise is slightly addictive ;) Only issue I have is the TIP seems too far to the left, as if it's not seated correctly? However the billet adapter is on correctly and the TIP is as far on as it will go on the adapter as well. Bit annoying but it's not leaking so I'll live with it!

Now that the steamy windows are here with a vengeance I figured it was time to sort it properly. So I had a few hours spare today so I stripped everything out to dry everything!
Because racecar? or wet car

I've put the passenger seat back in to prevent the airbag light but everything else is now sat in the dining room (I'm sure my mum will be impressed ;))

Plan is to do all four door seals before refitting anything. At least my windows should be okay for now and it's just a case of mopping up any water! Oh and it's made my car a bit louder (for now)
