guys im after a favour from a few of you on here

could anyone go out and perform some in gear tests (safely, on a road where the speed limit will not be broken of course) with their K04 cupra or ED30

could you test the following for me

0-60 through gears (
30-50mph in 2nd
30-70mph in 3rd
50-100mph 4th(only if you have a private road or at a track day or are on the autobahn etc)

i'll post my times up after to see how they compare.

if guys with stage 1, 2 and 2+ cars (prefereab;y manual) could post them it would be appreciated. i just want to get a sense of the performance comparisons to what the k03 TFSI can do, and a few other cars I have been looking at

obviously dont go breaking the law to do this

Cheers

itchy feet again?

looking at a few cars that all run to around the same output when tuned, but suffer various issues such as weight and AWD losses etc.

So im keen to see how they compare? and yes i'm considering a cupra lol

Might manage to do a standard one for you tomorrow.

I think VCDS can do timings, would be more accurate.

TBH witha stop watch you will get wildly different and inconsistent numbers I reckon. The dials on a cupra are out by 8-10% anyway (make you think you going faster than you are).

When I moved from the 2,0T FR K03 to the Cupra K04, I have to say I noticed very little difference in standard form, stand-still to 100mph. In fact the fact my FR had DSG it actually felt quicker (says alot for my gear changing don't it!)

on mk5 gti forum I posted the revo technik k1 mag results in the focus rs thread.

Stage 2 plus k04 is silly quick, quicker than my TTRS, m3s, rs4,ferrari california to name a few

would love to but need a baby laptop + VAG COM first :(
it's on my xmas list!!! lol
