Hi guys, i have allready got a 1.4 seat ibiza but its no longer fast enough so im thinking about buying a seat ibiza 20vt. I want to buy a pre tuned one but im not a 100% sure what im looking at. So i will start with the turbo how can i tell the difference between the ko3 and the ko3s turbo when its on the car? Now on to the remap what sort of bhp increase will you get from a stage 1 remap and what after market parts will it need? and the same with the stage 2 remap what after market parts will it need and what bhp increase? Many thanks :D

all mk3 ibiza's come with k03 unless they been upgraded by owner, k03 has 12 blades and k03s as eight, stage map on a standard mk3 with k03 turbo is around 190bhp mark witha few mods can get it close to 200. best advice i can give you from my experience by one that bog standard unless they have recipet for everything they did to the car

buying standard would be the more pricey way. if buying pre modified make sure they have recipts to prove the spec else they could be selling you anything. as for mods, i dont think theres a way to tell weather k03 or k03s unless you can physicaly see the turbo serial number, a mapped k03 with exhaust and uprated fmic should see 200bhp, k03s 230+ though no more than 250bhp. if hybrid turbo then :drive2: lol

So i just got to find one with recipts for the mods it has and preferably dyno print out.:D Thank you for your advice it will be a great help. what is a n249 bypass??

And the most important thing of all mate HPI the car pay £15 so you know its not been fighting! Rub your finger around all edges if it feels rough it's probably been painted (it's the sticky from masking tape) but to be realistic a 10year old car will probably have had paint done but its where it's been done! Make sure all the gaps seem eye to eye the same size or just get a £1 coin and rub that down each door side and bonett side (if it gets stuck one side it's bot even) but just take your time to get close spend 20mins just looking and touching the car, there's no rush! And always look for filler rub marks that's my personal hate! And arch's for rust :)
