Right ok, so I have a 2005 Leon 2.0 TDI 16v, pulled off from my house yesterday and a loud pop noise was heard, smoke bellowing out the exhaust. Took the turbo off this morning and it is completely nackered!! So a couple of questions...

1. Some good places to order either a new or a recon turbo from?

2. Is it worth putting in a performance panel air filter or is it a waste of £35?

3. Any other good modification to do to give it a lil extra power before I go down the re-map route?

Thanks

Same thing happend to me today :( heard a slight slipping noise at 3k revs, nothing like a pop tbh but loads of white smoke was coming out the exhaust and there is no oil left in the car. Filled it up with about 2 litres of oil and there was no sign of any oil on the dipstick. Then when I started it, the engine cut out after a few mins.

So is defo a turbo issue and a new one required? Btw the car is already remapped.

That sounds similar to mine, so will most likely be a new turbo. Theres a few places in and around Birmingham that recon them just trying to find out if they are any good or not.
