Needle Sweep with R32 cluster?

Hello guys, I was wondering if needle sweep is possible with R32 cluster or it is same deal as genuine cluster, also, does the cluster directly communicates with ECU or has it own separate chip built-in.

Yes the eeprom in the R32 cluster can be programmed to allow needle sweep amongst other things.

Through what it should be programmed,.can it be done by VCDS(Vagcom) or some chip programer directly connected to EEPROM chip?
