I bought the following ages ago but never got it fitted as i was told that my fan would almost be on all the time once the car got up to normal runnning temp.

Neuspeed 1.8T 180 Degree Thermostat

Neuspeed 180 Degree 3 Pole Fan Switch

Neuspeed Connector Conversion Kit for 3 pole fan switch

I having the coolant system fully drainned at my next service and was thinking that would be a good time to fit, but wanted to get people opinions before it do this and will my fan be on as much as my mate thinks once up to normall temp, i have been monitoring my water temp on my scanguage and normall temp is 80-82?

I cant see any advantage to this, a slightly cooler engine block by 1-2degrees isnt going to be noticable and the fan constantly running may reduce economy as dan said above

thanks guys, this is the bit I am confused about the temp guage in the car dash says 90 as normall running temp but the scanguage comes out at a lower read out, once the kit is fitted I cant go back to the orignals as the fan switch has to be cut and wired into Neuspeed Connector Conversion Kit for 3 pole fan switch hence why I am not sure weather to fit or not. Dan i believe the temp on the fan switch is the same as the thermostat.

Well, 180'F is actually 82'c, which, is actually no different to standard lol.

Whats it say on the climate control? thermostats open at 82 to allow the water to start cooling before 90'c. it may be the temp sensor is a little worn out. Does it over heat? is there ANY need for you to bring the fans in sooner? No. sorry, but yours is fitted with the same rad and fan pack as my 285bhp LCR. mine doesnt struggle to keep itself cool, even spending a full day on the rollers.
