Hey guys.
I have a Leon FR+ TDi and I had it remapped back in May by a local tuners. After the remap I noticed a little clutch slip, doing 70mph in 6th, put floor to the floor, the revs would pick up loads before drive is given. Same in 3rd and 4th at lower speeds (50 - 60etc)
Anyway, I finally got around to taking the car to a local garage and they said the clutch and flywheel needed changing. I got the job done today (standard Sachs clutch and flywheel kit) and the clutch is now so much lighter and smoother than it used to be.
I've just been out to give it a test drive to make sure everything is ok but I seem to be getting clutch slip in every gear now! It's worse than before!
My question is, do you need to let a new clutch bed in after having it changed like you do when you get new brakes fitted and so is clutch slip like I am getting normal? Do I need to drive around like a granny for 100 miles or so?! If not, any ideas why the slip is worse than before?
Chees guys
