Haha not suprised you're excited about it, didn't know you were going to the show. Be good to see you and the car.

Yeah we are going although not on the club stand just the old public parking :(

Weathers looking very good for Sunday too so should be a great day!

Emma has been looking at yours in readers ride and hopes to see it in the flesh at the show!! Yours will give us some more ideas for mods :)

Well we have it, looks great and very impressed so far! One minor problem which the dealer is keen to resolve (I'll explain later once on the PC)

Looks good, not sure i've seen a copa on here yet actually. The back looks so high though, your other half got any plans on lowering a tad?

Looks like the polish/waxing efforts yesterday were well worth it! Some nice beading going on this morning

I'm not sure why it looks so high in the pics, doesn't look so much in real life, might have been how it was parked on the grass

Oh yeah forgot about that!!

Dealer was fantastic, can't say a bad word about them!! But you know what us enthusiasts are like we turn up expecting everything to be perfect and accept nothing less. So after reading alot on here I made sure we checked all the items which could be a problem.

First thing I checked.... The bonnet edge where the wipers catch if not put into service mode and I'm afraid someone had just caught the drivers side one. It's not gone through the paint but it has chipped it.

Dealer is getting someone to come out and have a look then we'll discuss the best way round it. I know it sounds picky but at the end if the day it's a brand new car and the dealer should know better than to lift the wipers (although I suspect it was the valeters)

Heres a pic of the mark:

Yeah I know what your saying mate but I don't really want to get into spaying panels on a brand new car.

If a good smart repair can be done I'll be ok with that.

Don't mean to sound cheeky but, the dealer will think your a pushover if you just let them do a smart repair. I know its a brand new car but at the end of the day, a proper job at repraying will look much better than any smart repair. Most smart repairs are gimmicks and either don't last or look crap - believe me, i've tried them. Will cost the dealer buttons to get this done as well, so they are one up on you.

If you still are'nt convinced, and go for the smart repair, i would be pushing for more than a free service tbh. A brand new car should leave the forecourt without a single mark. I would have been far less than impressed had it been my car.

I've had smart repairs done on BMW I had badly scuffed and cracked bumper was plastic welded and blown in with small spray gun looked perfect and it was metallic too

a good smart repair will be fine I'd say

Well I'll have a chat with the smart repair chap and see what he thinks first. Ideally I dont want the 'face' of the bonnet touched.

Thinking of fitting the FR grille today too ready for tomorrows show. I see there are 2 mushroom clips on top which should come out ok and it looks like a series of clips around the edge of the grille.

How easy are these to get out?

Just dont want to go buggering up her new car lol!

The mushroom clips are fine, they just pull up.

The clips will need some big tugging, don't be afraid of it because once you get the old one off you'll know where the others will go.
