Hi all.

Recently collected my first Leon Cupra a couple of weeks ago.
Mystery blue 300 ST lux 69 plate.
Really pleased with it so far.
I've had a seat ibiza gti 2.0 16v abf before - 1999, but it was a brief ownership.
Car before this was a 2017 mk3.5 skoda octavia vrs I'd modified a fair bit with track mods (coilovers, arbs, wavetrac lsd, brembos, etc) so I'm fairly familiar with the mqb platform.
This time though I wanted to try dsg and 4wd so I got myself this leon cupra estate.
Won't go mad with this one but have some bolt ons already to put on over the Christmas break.

The gti was pre Internet camera phones, I probs have a photo on some prehistoric device. It was white, P reg with black cupra wheels and on ebay coilovers (bought it like this, looked cool but drove awful so sold it). Gearbox was like porridge too.

Skoda I had for 3 years exactly. Standard when I got it then got a bit carried away with the track mods. But took it to oulton 3 times, spa, Silverstone, Bedford and the ring.

And the cupra, well its totally stock at the moment. Just been corrected and ceramic coated. Got the skodas wheels, Rieger front and rear some other parts to go on yet. Deciding if worth risking the warranty with this being dsg and having DCC shocks. As well as the inevitable leaking thermostat housing and potential silica bag faff.

Still not worked out how to do that launch thing.
I only just realised a couple of weeks ago that S is for sport and D for normal drive.

The launch control i found sometimes to be a pain to get right,
but basically needs to be in cupra mode, esp turned off aswell, gearbox in sport not manual mode
Stop foot on brake, press accelerator and i think it will settle around 3.5-4.5k revs and then let go of brake.

I ended up searching youtube videos to see the best way to do it
