Hello all......been a while since I last posted on one of these 'ere fandangling whatnot's......

I'm Jay a resident of sunny Portsmouth and I own a mk II Seat Toledo. I'm always interested in meeting people and doing more stuff to my car...current mods in planning are the baby-seat (unfortunately) as my wife is gonna drop soon.

I'd love to get some nice alloys and maybe a very Touring car styled bodykit...I love my car and think its pretty cool.:D

Look me up and say hi if you see me going by.....I'm always glad of a chat.

Welcome to the site mate...
AWWWW i think a babyseat is an ACE mod for the tolly! :D

If you have a deep wallet (believe me you need one cos once you start its an addiction), there is soooooooo much you can do to the MkII mate.
have a search!

Well what sort of things are there out there to do to a Mk II Tolly. I see lots about alloys and bodykits but when I search the t'internet there aren't that many good ones. Can you reccommend a supplier or webpage for it?

It depends if you want to go OEM (Original Equipment from Manufacturer) or not.
a lot of people choose to stick Leon Cupra parts on (as the front and sides are the same....) ie Cupra skirts and Cupra or Cupra R fronts (you do need some extra parts to bolt them on, but its easy enough). as for finding parts....Dealer for the skirts.....probably scrappers for the bumper as you get all the grills too (stealers price is extrotionate!)...you can get a Seat Sport Spoiler for £60 primed from Seat....

Alloys, the choice is yours, so long as you get the right stud pattern and offset you can basically order virtually any wheels you want..........

suspension you can get anywhere and bushes...i used AwesomeGTI.....but we fitted them ourselves..

interior mods...mainly Leon/Bora/Golf/Passat, a lot of parts are interchangeable.

body kits....check out MSdesign........
http://www.ms-design.com/carx1ms1_1.icc?lang=en&cty=at&car=275

or this one...although IMO it looks Sh%t!!! and TSW venom on a tolly is a NO NO! http://www.monstermodz.co.uk/list_products.php?productID=178

if you google "toledo bodykits" there are loads....but choose wisely.........IMO OEM is the way forward!!! its descrete!

Just so I'm not doing something chronically wrong....

what is the correct stud pattern and offset for a 2002 Seat Toledo Mk 2 1.9 TDI?

I know its a noobie question and probably has people banging their heads on their desks but humour me!

So I've had a good perusal at the interweb thingy-majig and got myself a few options for mods for my darling Tolly. Here goes:-

Seat Toledo Seidl Rear Bumper - GRP @
http://www.body-kit.co.uk/acatalog/seat_toledo_rieger_body_kits.html OR
http://www.neil.copperstream.co.uk/ST-P/Images/bkits/seat/ToledoSeidl.jpg

Seat Toledo Bullet Evo Spoiler Spoiler (Boot) @ http://www.stxstyling.co.uk/StxStyling/Cars/Seat-Toledo-Spoilers.1.htm

What do people think? I'm a bit new at this and don't really know who's good and who's not. I dont wanna go getting my fingers burnt or buying some cheap tat that will fall off no matter how well I fit it cos its shockingly awfully made.

I'm still undecided about potential alloys and lowering etc. I'd like to go with maybe 17's and 35-40mm lowering.

I'm also considering beefing up the BHp a bit...I've heard of this Revo lot and they can maybe make my piddly 110 a slightly better 135BHP so that's worth investigating.....

Anyway...let me know what you all think.

If you dont mind me asking Sam.....why don't you like those bumpers/bodykits? Is it purely a preference thing or more of a bad rep for the manufacturers kinda thing?

Maybe you could get a link or pic of the sort of thing you think looks good on a Tolly?

Hey mate...purely personal preference. I havent had any dealings with any of those bodykit companies so cant comment on quality. I just love subtle styling...OEM style if you like....guess i am too much of a puritan.
Thats not to say that being original is wrong.

There is definately a shortage of alternative rear bumpers for the dear old MKII tolly. all i did was body colour mine....like a number of peeps.....

TIIEWL made a cracking TT cut and shut bumper on his tolly, and that complimented the curves of the car. the problem with many of the after market rears, is that they just look stuck on and not moulded in tradition with the shape of the motor. It is purely down to the individual though. nothing wrong with making your own individual mark if you like it at teh end of the day.
