Hi All

If this has been asked before I apologise... however has anyone ever swapped their oil after having the DPF deleted from the recommended 507 spec oil?

Thanks

I did but therefore no idea if it helped or hindered, I assume you're asking because the oil you're supposed to use is for cars with DPF's fitted only. Im not sure what the difference is tho sorry

If you're using the right oil now it will have no effect once the dpf has been removed.

The plan was to service the car as I've just had the DPF deleted, Ive got the PD170 so could I get away with using a 505 spec oil or is it worth sticking to the recommended spec, or if anyone has any recommendations?

Why would you downgrade to a non spec oil? Even if there's now no dpf?

Loony move if you ask me. Keep to 507

Yeah I will be sticking to the normal 507.00 spec oil, was just curious as I know a lot of the 507.00 oils have something in them that protects the DPF, so without it I thought you could you swap but I wont be.

Thanks for your help guys!

The oil is "low ash" and produces less carbon deposits when burned so the dpf does not clog up as quickly.

that property has no effect on the normal running of the engine and should have no effect if used in different engines. 507.00 is the highest spec oil you can use in a vw diesel.

As low saps/ash/sulphur oils are designed to protect environment(and DPF) more than your engine 504/507 ACEA C3 oils are poor and if you d not have DPF in place get mid or high saps oil that have much better lubrication properties.

Millers CFS Nanodrive , Mobil 1 turbo diesel ( not ESP) Liqui Moly Diesel Synthoil.
