Had the car two months and really like it! It's the 2.0 TDI Sport (170PS) with the full factory body kit on a 10 plate, 46K miles when I picked it up. I have a few questions:

Stupid questions:

1, Is there really only cup holder in the front?
2, The handbook mentions "background lighting", mine doesn't have this (or it's broken), was it some sort of option?
3, Have anyone found a decent use for the little storage area above the head unit?

Normal Questions:

1, Nobody lists the Exeo when I was looking for new discs and pads (uprated) I'm guess I need to look at Audi but which year/model variant?
2, Tyres, my last car ran Toyo Proxes T1-R - has anyone used these on the Exeo? any good?
3, Chipping, has anyone used the bluefin? was it any good? If not anyone know a good company around the south yorkshire area?

1. If you have a rear arm rest (that folds down) then it contains a pair of cup holders.

2. It's pretty faint red lighting. You'll find a pair of lights by the rear view mirror, 2 in the rear seat lighting unit and also one in each door handle.

3. I find it useful to hold a number of things - including a pen and notepad.

1) In the front yes, and it's crap IMHO, it's in a silly place which looks rubbish and obscures you view a tiny bit - it also will ruin your day if you put anything any more top heavy in than say a standard coke can when it falls out and covers your centre console in Monster Energy (thankfully not my car). - however a 500ml coke bottle will fit in the door pocket with ease.

2) It's ambient light, you'll notice it the next time you're in a car without it late at night.

3) my mobile and wallet go in there beautifully, I'll generally remember that 40 mins after I've left the car and people are e-mailing me complaining they can't get hold of me.

1 and 2 have already been fully answered. As for 3 - I place my mobile in that unit and close it so I dont get tempted to check it :)

Watch out for the cup holder getting stuck "in", when the weather warms up! Mine has suffered from this since day 1 (brand new) and the dealers haven't been able to solve it. When the weather cools a bit (like now), the plastic obviously shrinks slightly, and all is well.

A tip: if putting a Costa coffee cup (or similar) in, drink a bit of the coffee first. Otherwise, as you pull out of the services or wherever, the coffee WILL slop out of the drink hole, and cover your centre console... and Coke bottles usually end up on the floor after the first roundabout. I rarely use it now...
