New Pads come with a wire in them

I ordered new ads and one of them (drivers outer pad) come with a wire and a plug.

There is no plug hanging in the arch and there is no wire in the current pads which are in.

Would I be okay just to cut off the wire from the new pads?

Yes should be ok, some leons have brake wear sensors some don't

Same here. I just cut it off.

Snipped them off before I posted this, was shocked that the old pads didnt have the sensors but the bloody pad came right off the back plate
