New Pioneer head unit but now power?

Hello all, I am trying to connect a new Pioneer head unit but it doesn't seem to be getting power. I am using a connects2 adaptor, CTSST001.2 to be exact but cant seem to get any power?

I have reconnected the standard headunit and that works fine so cant be a fuse issue (fuse on the new one is fine aswell)

Any ideas?

I seem t remember some one else having similar issues, and I think it was a faulty connects 2 adaptor, the canbus box.

I suspect it could be that one thing that has been mention after some google searching is the red and yellow wires might need swapping over so I am going to give that a go tonight if its still not working i will look to get a replacement cable.

You shouldn't need to swap the red and yellow wires over, you've got a wiring adapter. That applies to older car like the mk1 leon that aren't canbus.

Try to get a live from somewhere else, or connect the red and yellow going into the head unit together to give it a 'live' switched live. That way you will know it's the canbus adapter, or if you can get hold of a multimeter check you are getting a permanent and switched live.

I managed to get it working disconnected everything and put it all back together and it seemes to work oddly.

I do have another question though the fakra adaptor needs a live feed is that just a case of hooking it up to the fuse box or could it be run off the connects2?

you can connect it to the blue wire from the head unit for the amp control.
