For two reasons a) the insurance doesn't warrant the difference and b) it's a cool little project to see how much "oomph" I can get out of such a "small" engine

Mods will up the insurance......

MY08 1.4 TSI ran up to 160 in the end (roughly...) enough was enough moved onto the TFSI!

Go to autograph in burnley or AMD go stage 3 around 300 bhp its being done quite alot now

I have a 4K budget to do interior / exterior styling and engine / performance.

I'm looking for a "sleek" look and eventually to reach 350+ BHP

No offence dude, your delusional to think you can pull 350+ on that engine, I've seen a 287bhp 1.4 tsi Fr. But after talking to the guy about it for half an hour I had to walk away, he threw at least 10G's into the engine, my advice is if you want to pull over 300 you'll need a 2 litre eater regardless of that good luck with the build! Should be intresting
