yeah but bare in mind my mpg is getting worse and worse in the 1.4 im not gettin 217miles for a full tank

the car is shocking for power and mpg winter has made it worse i can only assume things like lights heaters and grip has affected this

Hope.I'm reading that wrong.
Your not getting 217 miles a tank? How many miles a tank do you get? If its that or less you have a fuel leak lmao

No real tips as such, mate. Just enjoy the car! :) The engine isn't the quickest but its a tried and tested unit with a good reliability record. Follow the guidelines in the owner handbook re running the engine in and especially dont push the engine hard until its up to operating temp...

1. Was this price ever publicised
2. Is this price still doable?

It was listed on this page at said price http://www.perrys.co.uk/seat-ibiza-1.4-se-copa-3-door/new-and-delivery-mileage/offer-189661-20005

They've put it up now but sounds as though the OP got it at the reduced price, I suspect it was that cheap because they wanted to hit 2011 targets.

I'd imagine you'd be able to get a similar deal if you tried a few dealers, maybe not quite as cheap but as the facelift is due out soon I think SEAT are keen to clear stocks of the current model.

I have a 1.4 copa as a driving school car just done 6000mls and averages about 42mpg when training (semi urban) and 45+mpg when I drive it. When I drive distances of 50mls plus and stick to the legal limits get nearer 50mpg.

I agree with the above, do the maths and the 1.4 makes more sense in this case.

My MPG has dipped a little but I'm still getting at least 400 miles to a tank easily enough.

It really depends on the driving. I usually only get 38mpg average from my 1.2TSI but on a longer run I can beat that by far. It's happiest sitting at 40-60mph where it gets easily in excess of 55mpg however usually I'm faster or slower than that as there's no 60mph roads at all on my commute!! I guess I'm a hard driver... I didn't think I was particularly but round my way it's the traffic (London commute) that kills it.

In my old 1.4 Ibiza I averaged only about 33mpg....

I have to say the power from the TSI is very much an eye opener after the 1.4... but as said the difference is price is quite large as mine cost me 12K..... Mine is the sportrider though which gives the sports suspension and 17" wheels.
