New to the forum and a fault

Hi I'm Paul from teeside about a month ago we bought a Altea xl 2.0 tdi it broke down on the first day luckily for us as the turbo was shot so a week later we had our Altea back with a new turbo anyway a few days later the flat tyre light came on I've checked tyre pressures and they are fine so I tried to reset it but it flashes once and no audible beep any suggestions ?

How long should it take to beep I've held the button for 2 mins ?

Should be about 3 seconds mate. Sounds like summat's fecked.

Try disconnecting the battery for 10 minutes or so, then reconnect. If no dice, then a scan with VCDS will possibly locate a fault.

Ok thanks for the help . Does the radio have a code ? Will I loose that if I disconnect the battery ?

no the radio code is remembered but you have to take the car for a short spin round the block to sort the esp & the tyre pressure sensors out

I've got the same issue, what button do you hold in to reset? The mileage reset button on the speedo?

No, the button for tyre pressure is on the central console (where the cigarette lighter is).
