Just wondered whether anyone had any tips for removing and fitting a new wing?

Im guessing I have to remove the bumper and arch liner and then it should be obvious, maybe even headlights?

Any advice would be much appreciated!

Ive done this the other day, not too bad tbh,

remove the front bumper, 3-4 screws near the front wheels, bottom screws underneath bumper, then the bolts - 4 at the top front (bonnet open), then remove both fog light covers and there will be a bolt either side. then it should slide off . remember to disonnect the fog lights etc.

then remove the front wheel on the side of the wing you wish to replace.

remove all screws of the plastic arch guard, then all bolts around the area neessary (You will figure it out yourself tbh) inluding the wing bolts.

the wing is glued on but just keep wiggling it and it should come free.

some numpty had done a s**t repair job on mine had rusted all the way through!

not a perfect explanation but again you will figure it out yourself

Alright cheers! I though it would be reasnobly obvious but it was good to know about the glue.. Does it matter if its glued back on or not?

Now I just have to find another wing in the right colour after two sales being refunded!

Ive had no issues without glue (no wobbles, vibrations etc) but prob just get some anyway. Its not that kind of glue anyway its like adhesive you get when you stick badges on the back e.g. TDI, S, FR,ibiza.

One thing to note is make sure its aligned properly before you put everything back together. I made this mistake! I had to adjust some bolts to make it fit perfect. some were too tight.

Another thing is to stonechip the inside of the wing to (try) prevent rust. The foam padding inside is no help at all.

The wing however was pruchased on ebay OEM £32 plus 9-10 delivery which was primed. I re-primed the outside then painted etc. looks like new now perfet paint match- not halfords paint btw
