Newbie needs advice

Hi guys hope you can help.
A friend of ours has an alhambra that has suffered from turbo failure.
its an x reg 1.9 tdi the turbo is a gt1749v any ideas where i can get a second hand one from or any others that will fit.

first you need to know the damage, if its stuck vanes get it cleaned, if it hasn't exploded get it rebuilt then it's good as new, I wouldn't buy a second hand one unless I knew how it was from, or is it a quick fix and get rid?

thanks for the reply m8 its completely knackered the bearings have collapsed and its taken the impellers out with it.the reason for second hand was exactly that m8 get running and get rid lol
