Newbie with T2 questions?

Hello everybody,
just joined the forum.Good place to be.Just about bought a P-reg Toledo 1.9D .Has aircon,PAS,Electric sunroof 2Xairbags and nothing else except for the 5 olympic rings emblazoned all over the car! Think its the MK2 version. A few questions for help please. Had a mk2 ibiza and VW's before so I'm slightly familiar with the cars. Looking for parts such as CV joints,gaitors,engine parts, seats etc - what VW model can I actually source the complementing parts from - Passat or Golf and which model/years? Also central locking is a necessity as i have young kids perferably remote,possibly electric windows at least iin the front and long term in the back,would a passat setup fit? Can the normal asp diesel engine be changed to a turbo diesel engine. Actually prefer the old 1.6 TD as I found it to be more responsive than the later 1.9TD especially with the intercooler (found on the MK2 golf 1.6TD). Would the smaller polo steering wheel fit by any chance? Can I use any of the front armrests from later cars in it? Any suggestions welcome - Thanx

sounds like a lot of work to be doing on a p reg, just sell up and buy a newer model.

Naah,got it cheap,most of that stuff is just my own personal intentions/desires.
Maybe you misunderstood. Theres nothing wrong with the car. Perfectly drivable/usable. just looking for future pointers/tips as per parts and what fits

Mk1 tolly was based very heavily on teh passat of that era.... so most of the bits are that.... which again was a hash of mk3 golf bits
