Just saying Hi, New to seat just got myself a Cupra 290 on a 66plate a couple of weeks ago and found this forum. Loving the car and lots of good info here

Yes the 290 is a good car, and the engine propably does 300 just like the 280.

Do you have any plans for the car or is it just a bit of fun / daily drive.

Abit of both had a civic type s diesel before but stopped doing alot of miles about 6k a year now so wanted a daily driver with abit of performance. so for the money i was looking at 15 plate type r's, which were far to hard everyday and Golf R's which and i'm not sure why i didnt like s much as when i drove the cupra, and cupra was 18 months or 2 years newer and abit cheaper so was a no brainer in the end.
Not going to do anything to it while its still in warranty but might get an odb11 to change a few settings

Seems like a plan, this is my favorite video of all time.

The golf is a great car (as that is the underpinning for the Cupra) but as you will see in the vid, the Cupra has somthing the Golf does not.

I love mine and have no plans to sell for many years yet.

Contact the Admins they are the only ones who can change your forum name from memory
